As an entrepreneur you may be aware that there are cycles and rhythms to business – but you may NOT be aware that these cycles are mirrors for the larger cycles and rhythms of nature and the cosmos.

Everything has a cycle including you, including your business.  If you are attuned to and aware of where you are in the cycle and where you are in relationship to the larger cycle then you can utilize that awareness to know when to act and when to be still.

Right NOW (and three or four times over the course of every year) we have just entered a cycle known as Mercury Retrograde – this is when the planet Mercury is traveling in a “backwards” pattern relative to the Earth in our combined ellipses around the sun.  Just as the Moon has an effect on our planet (remember it’s the moon that causes the tides to rise and fall – that’s a pretty powerful effect if you ask me!) so too do the planets have an effect on our Earthly rhythms.

Since we are energetically and physically connected to the Earth – its important and will help you in your business to have a larger awareness of natural (including solar system, galactic and universal) cycles and rhythms.    For the next 3 weeks or so we’ll be in this Mercury Retrograde cycle – for me this means a time to do anything that begins with the letters RE – it’s a GREAT time to REview the previous year, to REvise things, to REarrange your schedule, your office, your routines.  I like to REst and REJuvenate too during retrograde and it’s also a wonderful time to REconnect to old friends, acquaintance, colleagues and REVitalize those RELationships!

Rather than Fight the energy – go with it – flow with it – be in alignment with the retrograde and you’ll discover some amazing things that will naturally unfold for you.  If you try to muscle through and move forward at a time when it’s best for you to sit back and RELease (that need to push forward all the time!) – you will not only waste a lot of energy but you will likely find yourself drained when it IS time to move forward and will have far less impact and ability to manifest because you’ll have no REServes of energy stored!
